So, I'm back again!

I guess this is my longest absence from the blog ever! I'm not even sure why I stopped blogging at the first place. I had photos (a few ones but it's better than nothing) and I just couldn't do it. I had a bad time about my criativity and I'm trying to turn around and be more active again. I really wish I can keep the blog alive this time.
A few weeks ago, I thought about deleting my blog, even though it gave me pleasure and kept me motivated to photograph. But there's a lot of things I don't like in it and I don't feel that I'm good enough at photographing. At the same time, if I don't practice, I can't become good at something. So I decided to keep it and start using it again. Then here I am.
Last couple of weeks have been a little tough for me because: anxiety. And I'm very bad at acknowledging my own feelings, what's bad because I don't know how to deal with them! But I got a brand new desk this week and I'm trying to put all these feelings into art (including blog) so I can feel better :)

(This person still trying to keep moving on and looking for inspiration)

Lately, I haven't liked the photos I take or I don't photograph at all and I don't like when this happens. I'm trying to going back to photograph things around me but it's hard when you don't even remember to take your phone off your pocket  *nervous laugh I haven't even updated my instagram account that much. But I have other "projects" at the moment.
I'm having a Digital Art Lab class this semester and we use Photoshop a lot. So I'm not completly still and lazy at home. Particularly, I'm loving doing digital collage, then my focus is on it right now. We, also, had to create a site to post our works (if you want to check my mine, it's here). As we can see, I'm working on something, at least, and I'm keeping my schedule of a drawing per week and working on my journals too :)

Hope you all are having a good week, xox

Trying to keep going

It's been awhile since I really want to post something but have nothing to say. I'm having some trouble to keep going, my inspiration is nowhere to be found, I don't like the few works I've done and I'm having trouble to finish things, even the ones I like. But I'm still looking for better days to come. My aunt has been travelling to visit some relatives so I have all the house for myself. Not much different from week days but I like it. I like to stay on my own, doing things on my way. I just don't like that I do nothing more than watch series and eat (even though I haven't really eaten that much lately). Forcing myself to post this is one of my efforts to keep going, to not abandon it all. But I have good things to be thankful for: my friends, being able to be alone all the weekend, going out for coffee sometimes, the cloudy weather. I hope I get better soon and don't forget to smile.

And I hope you're having a good weekend, week, month and nice people around you :)

Holiday and holidays

My aunt travelled last week to visit some relatives and my brother and I stayed taking care of the house. But we didn't throw a party or something like that. We just remained inside home, watching movies like Harry Potter series - for the thousandth time - and eating snacks and ice cream :3 I even drew and painted more than I expected.

Now the holiday is over. BUT NOT HOLIDAYS

My classes only start by the end of March so I have some time to do whatever I want. I lost my track since last week and I'm struggling to not go back to the old habits. There are some days that I just want to shut everything down. But, by the end of the day, I force myself to draw or watch a movie, something that makes me smile. I think that's what's really important.

Hope you had an amazing week and have an amazing weekend, xox
   (time is passing so fast)

I bought some movies to watch in the holidays and because I have no control at all

Too hot to be outside

It has been almost a month since my holidays started and I'm trying to keep a routine. Not totally working but I'm trying. The good thing about holidays is going out once a week, with my friends or alone, for coffee or cookies.

Last Friday, I went to a nice coffeeshop with a friend to drink iced coffee and to draw (or to try to). It was nice to spend some time "outside" because, even been busy at home, it's better to go out with your friends. The "bad" part is the weather. It's so hot outside that you think twice about getting out of the house. I, usually, don't mind about being hot but this Summer is testing me and I don't want to go anywhere that doesn't have air conditioning :') But I'm willing to go to a park or to a museum, even though the museums around here don't have bench for you to sit and draw inside or the kind of art I like 😒

Happy Monday and have a nice week, xox

To photograph the mess

Last week I made iced coffee, pour it in a lovely cup, grab my book and the coffee sachet and put them all on the floor to photograph. The natural light was so perfect, not yellowish, and I loved the pictures I took. After that, I decided to photograph the mess that was my desk, my pyjamas and birkin. Also, my computer and the cute blog I was reading at the time.

Guess what? I liked these photos even more! They look so nice that I'm posting them instead. We "expect" to take great photos and we forget that this is not all that matters. Of course I still want to take good pictures (even the mess was photogenic at the time), but I'm trying to focus on something else. You can totally do both: the random and the "pretty" ones. And it's also fun to photograph the "backstage" of the ones that we strain so hard to make it look good. I even used my little canon powershot because I love the way the photos look in it. Sometimes I forget how amazing it is to shoot with it.

Hope you like the pictures as much as me, xo
