Going out alone to see Spider

A few months ago I watched a youtube video about Louise Bourgeois. I'd heard a few things about her Spiders but, as I'm not very fond of insects, it didn't caught my attention. Although, this video talked about Louise's life and the motivations/inspirations for her work and I started to get more interested. A couple of weeks later, I heard Spider was going on a "tour" around my country and one of the museums in my city was going to be her new home for 2 months. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anyone to go with me. So I started to postpone my visit until later this week, 5 weeks after the exhibition's opening. I chose a sunny day to feel more brave to face my fear to go out alone (something that has been haunting me lately) and it was so worth it! Living where I live and not liking the kind of art I am surrounded (it's not bad, just not my taste), I never really felt something deep for art in the museums I visited. However, I experienced a new feeling with Spider. I was delighted with such work to the point I almost cried (a little dramatic, I know). All I wanted was to sit and stare at it. I'm glad I had the chance to go and see this work closely.
Now, I'm planning my next visit with more time to draw and photograph the exhibition :)
